Contact Form Using Email Address From Custom Field

I am looking for a contact form solution that can be placed in posts (ideally by template tag not shortcode) which will send an email to an address specified in a custom field of the post.

Any ideas or suggestions of plugins on how to achieve this? Any thoughts are gratefully received!

Many thanks, Rob

    Hi Rob,

    Interesting idea! I haven't heard of a plugin for that exactly, but wouldn't be easier and more efficient, especially if you'd prefer a template tag solution, to simply throw some custom contact form code into your theme's single.php file?

    The theme file would be within the WordPress loop so getting the custom field should be as easy as:

    <?php
    $author_email = get_post_meta($post->ID, "author_email", true);
    //use $author_email as the send address
    ?>

    And there's no shortage of ready to use contact form code on the net. You could maybe even use the Contact Widget code as an easy way to start with the form:

    Though, perhaps others around here know of a plugin that does so already?

    Cheers,
    David
