Copying a site using the Snapshot plugin

Hi Guys,
I have been following your article on https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/easy-migration-snapshot/ to migrate a site. You can see what is happening in my comments in the end of that. Essentially though the snapshot is not working and not importing any content.
The particular snapshot in question is at https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5732216/brenclosurescad.com_scheduleBackup_full_2015-10-17_d7576d6e5fd5e341a54146ebb14caffe.zip.
I'm not sure, but I kind of suspect that the move across from Godaddys Wordpress hosting to Godaddys standard hosting might be causing the problem.
Let me know what you think though.
Cheers
Simon

    Hi Ash,

I'll add it as bullet points so it's easier to go through. Hopefully the html will come through!

    Info
Originating site: Godaddy Wordpress Hosting (there seems to be extra baggage with this in the WP interface)
Site to be copied to: Godaddy shared hosting
This site will be used as a staging and test area for the main site, so I will need to copy things over regularly.

    • I followed your article as per https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/easy-migration-snapshot/ on how to migrate a site with Snapshot. Hopefully I got the right version of Snapshot, if there are any different ones. I won't comment on odd things to clarify the article, just the fact it didn't work.
    • Once I got the Snapshot loaded, I did a restore, again following your article. There was no difference in the plugins and themes apart from 2 plugins that were in the site to be restored to that were disabled. All others were the same.
    • The restore stopped once on the way through (at metadata), but I restored again and the second time everything seemed to come through.
    • Hitting refresh or going back to the site, just started the Wordpress install system. When I went through that, the plugins and themes were still there, but no pages or posts or data from the EDD plugin I use on the site

Note that I also tried this a different way and ran into problems, which is why it may be a hosting issue. I used Infinitewp backup and restore system and that did pretty much the same thing. I also tried a manual data base update which again didn't work as the data didn't import into phpmyadmin properly. It's also worth noting that Godaddy advertises a 1-click staging site in the next level up, so maybe they are doing something that restricts things in the base level hosting, which doesn't include that.

Let me know if you can see anything odd in that file I sent you the link to previously.

    Cheers

    Hi Ash,

Sorry for the delay. The answer to the first part of your question is no, personally I am not, but I guess there is a chance that Godaddy is. There certainly seem to be some additional 'stuff' in the database. The hosting I am using is https://www.godaddy.com/hosting/wordpress-hosting, the basic package.

On the plugin side, I have the following on the site: -
    Akismet - disabled
    Clef - disabled
    Easy Digital Downloads
Easy Digital Downloads - CSV manager
Easy Digital Downloads - Dropbox File Store
Easy Digital Downloads - Gravity Forms Checkout
    Gravity Flow
    Gravity Forms
    Gravity Forms - Mailchimp addon
Gravity Forms - Paypal standard addon
    InfiniteWP
    Really Simple CAPTCHA
    Snapshot
    Wordfence

Let me know if you think there is anything dodgy in there. For me, I'm guessing that it's more to do with the hosting.

    Cheers
    Simon
