Hey, couple questions.

First, trying to use your chat plugin. It says to upgrade to unlock features, but I can't figure out how (the linked page doesn't seem to have an upgrade option)? Also, can't figure out how to include private one-to-one chats?

Meanwhile, I really like the styling of your guys' support forum here (see attached). Is this a plugin you guys offer or available any other way?

    I hope you're well today and thank you for your question!

    As for styling of our forum, I'm not really able to provide you with much help here. It's not that I don't want to but we're just using a lot of fully custom code here for CSS as well as for many other features.

    As for the Chat plugin. Are you using a free version of our plugin perhaps? It's available here:

    If so, the it's indeed a limited though fully functional version of our Chat plugin. In this case please disable and remove the plugin, then go to your dashboard's

    "WPMU DEV" -> "Plugins" page

    and type "Chat" in a search box on top of the screen. Install and activate the plugin from there and you should be up-and-running with a full version in no-time!

    Meanwhile, it's funny -- the chat *light* plugin seems to have slightly better styling and load faster than the main one (see vs Meanwhile, i'm having issues with the main one where it's not displaying the user avatar for some reason.

    Although these plugins are based on the same code, they are a little different of course because the Chat Lite (as its name indicates) is a limited version. There might however be other differences so the styling also might be a bit different.

    As for avatars. I tried to take a look a to both sreenshots you've attached to your post but only one (with avatars) is working at the moment so I can't see what's going on there. Are there any errors or not? Do you see "empty places" instead of avatars or default avatars? Please advise!

    First off, was curious -- it says there's a support session going on now (, but i can't figure out how to access?

    Most likely, the time difference caused a confusion here. All support chat sessions are given according to New York, US time zone so you may need to convert the schedule to suit your own time zone in order to know for sure if there's any session active.

    Lastly, does it seem like WMPU does custom development? Would be interested to find out what might be involved in getting forums that look like this custom made!

    We use a lot of custom solutions but we do not provide custom work, if this is what you're asking about :slight_smile: We do however run a job board named "Jobs & Pros" where you can post a question about custom development and most likely you'll get a reasonable quote asap.
