CoursePress Pro: Improvements @ Bugs

Hello WPMU Dev, we've got a few questions.

1A. Section in units aren't showing properly. It's kinda mixed up.
1B. Can we make section FREE instead of whole unit FREE? I can't see that option anywhere. Our courses consist of 4-5 units, every unit has 5-6 sections, and we would love to make only 2-3 sections free, not all of them.
for 1A and 1B Refer to this link: http://i.imgur.com/vRFQW3l.png

2A. We use Visual Composer for our website design. But some elements on the page must be customized by ourselves, so we need to make custom modifications inside the code. That's why we are asking if there is any possibility to make child themes so we won't be affected with next plugin updates.

2B. In addition to 2A, here is an example what why we need custom code modifications. For example, we would like to disable that sidebar in "Courses", also we want to move that menu 20-30px up. http://i.imgur.com/NYbM65B.png
But whether can we change these particular two things somewhere in the menu is not relevant, we would like to add some our custom code as well.

3. We would like to translate our website to Slovak language. Is it possible to do that with Poedit? Or do we need some third party plugin like WPML?

4. Is there any possibility to add log in/sign in via facebook?

If you are interested, we would like to provide you with more information. We found some mixed up elements or elements which are not displayed or positioned properly on mobile devices (tested with iPad, android and iOs phones)

    Hey there Marian,

Hope you're doing well today and thanks for your reporting your findings

1A. Section in units aren't showing properly. It's kinda mixed up.

How is it showing up exactly? Can you provide a screenshot or give us support access so we can take a closer look?

You can grant support access via admin dashboard - WPMU DEV > Support > Support Access > Grant Access.

Yes, don't select the parent unit, just select the sections inside you would like to show  screenshot attached.

2A. We use Visual Composer for our website design. But some elements on the page must be customized by ourselves, so we need to make custom modifications inside the code. That's why we are asking if there is any possibility to make child themes so we won't be affected with next plugin updates.

Yes, you can make child themes for CoursePress  In-fact, I've just attached a very basic one for you. Upload it to your themes folder then add customizations as needed.

Yes, you can make these changes with our child theme, you can edit any templates/CSS you like and place them in your child theme.

    3. We would like to translate our website to Slovak language. Is it possible to do that with Poedit? Or do we need some third party plugin like WPML?

Yes, I don't see why not  the .po language file is included in the CoursePress plugin folder and once you have produced the .mo slovak file you can place that in your /wp-content/languages/plugin folder to ensure it doesn't get overwritten on plugin updates.

We also have a community translation area too: https://premium.wpmudev.org/translate/projects/cp

So, you could share it there when you are finished and I'm sure some community members would love you for it

    4. Is there any possibility to add log in/sign in via facebook?

We have an Ultimate Facebook plugin that would be awesome for adding that in

    Worth checking out: https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/ultimate-facebook/

It comes with a ton of other features too as you will notice on the project and usage pages.

If you are interested, we would like to provide you with more information. We found some mixed up elements or elements which are not displayed or positioned properly on mobile devices (tested with iPad, android and iOs phones)

Of course we are interested  That may be better suited for a new post though - we don't want to make this post too long - makes it tough to follow.

Any issues you come across we always appreciate if you report them to us so we can get them sorted out. We're happy to hear plugin and plugin feature suggestions too! We have feature request lists for each of our plugins.

Look forward to hearing back Marian! Hope you have a great rest of your day.

    All the best,
    Tyler

    Hi Tyler,

thanks for such a great response!

Reffering to 1A, I have granted you access. Go inside courses > Present Simple > 2. Course description, in Week 1 section 3 and section 6 are not shown up properly. On section 6 I can't click, so I can't make unit free or show/hide manually for example.

Today, I make another post with found bugs and improvement suggestions, I am gonna test this also on mobile devices once again.

When we translate our site, we will provide other users with Czech ang Slovak language files.

    Hey Marian,

    Awesome! Glad this helped

As for 1A, I logged in and went to that option, unchecked the whole unit and selected just section 3 and 6. It seems to have worked. I've attached a screenshot, let me know if that is what you are after.

    Appreciate the reporting

Awesome! Post back here when you do and I'll be sure to send some points your way for your effort. In-case you aren't familiar yet, points are a way to earn a possible lifetime membership or extension. https://premium.wpmudev.org/earn-your-wpmudev-membership/
