CoursePress Pro: Strange list with pseudo latin words - what's it about?

Hi Wpmudev

good morning.

We have some questions while setting up CoursePress Pro in our site.

1. What are those latin list links for?

2. How to achieve a similar look and feel like on WPMUDEV without sidebar and with a top header which includes links/buttons.

[It is again the same problem like with fundraisers and jobs and experts] it is is pretty hard to achieve the CI and to modify the look.

I appointments, marketpress, wiki, ... will have the same problems please advice generally how to do that. Thanks!

I open up another thread concerning that option.

    Hi Andi ,

    Hope you're doing well today!

    Regarding to your questions:

    1) Maybe you are editing the demo course available by default when you active CoursePress. Those "latin links" are sample titles that should represent the name of your Units.

    When you create a new Course, in that section, you are able to set if you want to display the course structure (Units and Pages) in the Course overview page.

    2) In the Plugin's usage page, it was used the CoursePress theme (available in the Themes section once you enabled the plugin).

    The layouts are based on your theme (if you use sidebar or not). Most pages are "Virtual" pages, however, some of them can be replaced by "real" pages in CoursePress-> Settings.

    Also, you can change the default templates, moving the files from default CoursePress theme (found in "wp-content/plugins/coursepress/themes/coursepress") to your theme. You can give a look on these templates to adapt to your theme structure.

    with a top header which includes links/buttons.

    In order to help you better, which links are you mentioning? Can you share a screenshot?

    Cheers, Luís

    Hi Andi ,

    Hope you're doing well today!

    If I understood well your question, if you checked the option "Display menu items" (CoursePress Pro -> Settings) these links should be added to your menu as menu items.

    However, if you want to put them in other place, this will need to be custom coded, creating two links to the "Courses" list page and to the "Dashboard" page (My Courses).

    The Courses page is a virtual page, by default using the slug (/courses).

    The "Dashboard" page is by default a virtual page, but it can be turned into a "real" page. By default uses the "/courses-dashboard" slug.

    So, you need to create two links to these pages:

    <a href="" class="my-custom-buttons"> View Courses </a>
    <a href="" class="my-custom-buttons"> My Courses </a>

    Then, using CSS, you can give a "button" look, like:

        background-color: blue;
        padding: 20px;
        color: white;

    This can help you to achive your goal?

    Cheers, Luís
