Courses are not displaying nicely.

Hi Support,

I need some help with making the courses appear nicely on the course page in my time. Currently they are not nicely centered nor appearing. They are edging all the way to the left side. Also the demo course installed in the them with video is not displaying nicely. How can this be resolved within the theme?

Thanks a lot in advance!

    Hello Kevin,

    I hope you're well today!

First of all, do you use any page builder? Sometimes it corrupts the shortcode output (if you use a custom page for displaying courses). In this case you need to make sure that the shortcodes are put into the page while in "text" editing mode. I mention it only because it's the likely reason of why the courses don't look the same. Other than that, CoursePress Pro adopts style from your current WordPress theme.

That being said, from what I can see on the screenshots you want courses to appear just like in our CoursePress theme that's bundled with the plugin. Two ways to achieve it would be to mimic such layout with custom CSS styling of you current theme or to build a child theme upon the original "CoursePress" theme.

Actually both solutions require building child themes, here's some more information on that:
    - https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/how-to-create-wordpress-child-theme/

    I hope that helps.
    Cheers,
    Adam

    Hello Kevin,

I hope you're well today and thank you for the clarification on that issue.

You won't find a courses list page anywhere in your WP dashboard, indeed - it's just a custom category. That said, if you'd like to build your own layout for the course list within your theme it would be the best to simply create a child theme of it (to have something to build upon) and than copy archive-course.php file from /wp-content/plugins/coursepress/themes/coursepress/ folder to your new child theme's folder. Or you may want to copy an entire CoursePress theme (/wp-content/plugins/coursepress/themes/coursepress) to your WP themes directory (/wp-content/themes) and use it as a starter.

    Hope that helps.

    Cheers,
    Adam
