Create a registration form in modal popup

Hi,

I really like the 'start free trial' modal popup on the main wpmudev site at the moment. Is there some way to create this effect (user registration in modal popup) using any of the wpmudev plugins?

And even further, is there a way to collect user card details to pay for their subscription in a modal (again, like wpmudev trial modal popup).

Cheers,

Matt

    Hi Matt,

If you just want to show a simple registration form in front-end, you can do that with our Membership 2 Pro and PopUp Pro plugins. At first install and configure Membership 2 Pro and PopUp pro plugins. You will get usage guide of these plugins under "Usage" tab of these plugin description pages. Now create a popup and use the following shortcode in the PopUp content area:
    [ms-membership-register-user]
And set PopUp condition so it shows this PopUp only to visitors who are not currently logged in. Please check the attached screenshot for reference.

This will show a popup with registration form for your non-logged in visitors. You can use custom CSS code to design that popup and form as you want.

Or, there are lots of third party registration modal plugins for the same purpose. You can use any of those:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/zm-ajax-login-register/
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/ciusan-register-login/
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/simplemodal-login/
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-modal/

These will resolve your modal registration. But I'm afraid, taking payment data and processing payment in a modal will require advanced custom coding. I just searched for you but I could not find any easy workaround for that.

I'm really glad to see that you liked our Free Trial Signup modal. But this is a completely custom designed signup system. It will require huge amount of custom coding to get the exact same feature on your site. If this was something which can be done in 10-15 minutes, I'd love to do that, but I think this will take much more than that. So I'm afraid, it's a custom job and beyond our support scope. You will get full details regarding our policy for custom jobs, here: https://premium.wpmudev.org/manuals/using-wpmu-dev/support-vs-custom-development/

However, you can always hire a developer from our Jobs Section for custom jobs. Please keep in mind, developers found in our Jobs Section are not associated with us. So please communicate with them well before you make any payments to them.

Please let us know if you have any confusion or if you are stuck at any point. We will be glad to help.

    Have a nice day. Cheers!
