Create a subdomain that points to a directory within my root installation

Hey, I have wordpress multisite installed using subdomains and would like to know how I can setup a directory located within my root installation so that it points to a subdomain without having to create a multisite installation for it.

e.g.
var/www/public_html/(wordpress-files)
var/www/ public_html/(subdomain-files)

As of right now in order for me to access the subdomain-files I would go to mydomain.com/subdomain-files. However, I want to setup my site in a way I can access the subdomain-files by subdomain-files.mydomain.com?

How is this done? Please let me know and also include any further documentation you have about this. Thank you

    Hi Rachel,

    Hope you're well?

It sounds like all you really need to do is create a subdomain in your CPanel, that will automatically create the subdomain itself, and will create automatically create the folder at the same time in your /public_html/

    If i'm misunderstanding, my apologies.

    Hope this helps
