Create Events from Front End in Events + plugin

Hi,

I have installed Membership & Events + plugins on my site.

Currently, the members can "create/edit/delete" the events from the back end & only "edit" events from front end.

I want the members to be able to be "create" events from the Front End.

I already did the following things:

1) Activated Capabilities addon of Events +

2) Activated Front-End Editing addon of Events +

3) Activated User Groups addon of BuddyPress (I don't want groups & I also don't want my memebers to be able to create groups but I had read a post that this add on when enabled, members will be able to "create" event from front end).

Still the memebers van't create events from front-end.

Is there is some other way to do this?

    Hello,

I hope you are well today and Thanks for posting on the forums.

Activated Capabilities addon of Events +

Please assign Event Capabilities to a role as per attach screenshot.

Activated Front-End Editing addon of Events +

After activation, Please use [eab_event_editor] shortcode to display front end editing form.

I hope that helps. Please feel free to ask if you have more questions on the same.

    Hi Sandeep,

    Thanks for your inputs.

I had already created a role and assigned capabilities to it.
I had this role added to the access level for which members are paying.
The thing I had missed out was shortcode.

And yes your shortcode is exactly what I wanted to achieve.

    But here's the problem :

When main admin goes to the page where shortcode is executed,
    it works fine.

When a member goes there it shows up 'The content you are trying to access is only available to members. Sorry.'

Now I tried the following things:

    1) I added the page in positive rules to the access level of members.

    2) Also added shortocdes to that access level & check marked the shortcode [eab_event_editor]

    3) As said above, I had already added capabilities to the role & attached that role to access level.

And yes 1 more thing, my members can create the events from the back end.

I just want to make sure they can do so from front end.

    Regards,
    Ankit

    Hi Sandeep,

There is one more thing that I would like you to know that the event editor shows up when I click on Event in the WordPress menu on the top.

But not on the page where I had this shortcode mentioned.

I am attaching you the screen shot.

    I hope it helps.

    Hello Ankit,

    Thanks for your detailed information.

I can have a closer look if You can enable support access via :

WordPress Dashboard >> WPMU DEV Dashboard >> Support >> Staff Access >> Grant Access.

If you have not installed WPMU DEV Dashboard plugin yet, kindly do that here : https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/wpmu-dev-dashboard/ and then allow access as per the above process.

    Please advise.

    Best Regards
    Sandeep Kumar
