Currency Exchange

Hi - I'm using MarketPress with GridMarket -

My client would like to sell products in New Zealand & Australia - does MarketPress / GridMarket have the option for users to change their form of currency eg. New Zealand Dollars (NZD) & Australian Dollars (AUS)? Thanks.

@Newton no MP dont have that but there is a workaround

Here is what i have done for some of my customers

The easy way is to set up a blogs/sites for him with currency's

So blog a will be $ and blog b will be rand and so on

I hope this helps for you

Or he can use the same website but just use shipping and then give it a table rate

    Hi Mark

So just to clarify - you're suggesting I create two websites, each with a separate currency, as per country? Yes, that would work successfully - but would require another hosting account and require double the maintenance of the site. However, its still a option.

"Or he can use the same website but just use shipping and then give it a table rate " - Sorry, I don't understand your idea here. Can you please explain it in more detail?

Thanks for your help. Much appreciated.

Mark is right that MarketPress doesn't provide this itself, no.

I think what he's suggesting is that if you're using a Multisite you activate the plugin on a per-site basis, which will allow sub-site admins to set their own currency.

@Mark - if you can clarify the table rate that would be helpful as I'm not sure I understand the suggestion there
