Customising the search results page

Hi,

I am attempting to customise the search results page for the Fixer (v1.3) child theme of Upfront (v1.6.1) using the Upfront Builder (v1.1.4).

I cannot see a clear way of doing this.

What would be the best way for me to approach this?

Thanks in advance!

    Hey Peter,

Hope you're doing well today

If you're editing Fixer theme there's no need to use Upfront Builder, let me explain this first a bit more.

Upfront Builder is a plugin that's used to create new themes that you can later on activate on your site or export them and then install on other sites running Upfront theme.

Upfront Editor is part of the Upfront theme and is used to edit existing themes to make unique content for your site.

For example, Builder is used to create Fixer theme and when you install it you can edit it for your site using Editor.

About the main part of your question, editing Search page.
To do this simply search for something on your site and once search page opens start Upfront Editor from admin bar.

Make the desired changes to page and click Save, it will show popup asking if it should save for that archive only or all archive of that type, select All Archives and that will be it.
Your search page will now show your new page.

    Best regards,
    Predrag
