Default Theme Plugin Installed but Settings Not Showing

Hi Support,

I've installed the Default Theme Plugin, Network Activated it and the Settings page is not showing when I go to Network Admin > Settings.

Any advice?

Mathew

    Hi @Patrick,

Thanks for your quick reply. I do see it there and have a custom theme selected but when I created a new site, it did not take. I had an error for a few minutes where the WP site could not come up, then when it did a message said that there was an issue setting the theme and that it reverted to the WP default theme, "Twenty Twelve".

Do you need login access to check it out?

    Hi @Matty J

I managed to reproduce this behavior if the New Blog Templates plugin is also active.

But without New Blog Templates, I can't seem to replicate this.

Have you tried ruling out a possible conflict with another plugin you have on your site? Simply deactivate everything else temporarily, then create a new site with your selected default theme.

If it works, reactivate plugins one at a time, and create a test site with each activation. You can delete them all afterwards.

    Hi @Patrick,

Interesting! I'm mainly using plugins by wpmudev with the exception of a couple of required plugins of an individual theme I'm using (e.g. Breadcrumb NavXT, Contact Form 7 and Revolution Slider).

    Hi again @Matty J

The behavior I experienced with New Blog Templates isn't really a conflict. It's just that New Blog Templates overrides the Default Theme plugin 'cuz that's one of its included features.

I'm not aware of any true conflicts with any of our other plugins.

If you come across any such conflicts, please let us know right away... it would be pretty silly of us to promote a collection of plugins that don't play nice together

Thank NAME, for their help.
