Do you know which of your plugins are mu-plugin ready?

Hey guys, I’m testing your plugins as I will be deploying a MultiSite installation, but one of the requirements will be to disable the plugins directory and pretty much use only mu-plugins. I wanted to know if you have tested your plugins in mu-plugins directory, and how has that gone, as that is my next process, select the plugins we like from your repo and modify the to suit our needs.

thanks in advanced.

    Hello @jcakec

The plugins we offer are activated normally as other plugins and not installed in mu-plugins folder

Plugins in the mu-plugins folder cannot reside in a folder so to make the plugins work there you have to pull the main PHP file out of the folder, and make sure there are no calls to the plugins folder in the source.

Usually it is easier to activate the plugin sitewide in the plugins menu. Are you trying to achieve something specific ?

    Please advise.

    Cheers, PC

Hi PC, actually you need a loader, not place everything.in the folder. That way everything keeps clean. And yes, we will disable the plugins page for customers, it’s a requirement.

I will play around with the plugins to see which are mu friendly.

    Thanks

    Hiya,

Thanks for posting back. I think I wrote it incorrectly.

For the projects which can be used in mu plugins (eg : https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/e-commerce/#usage) it mentioned in the usage page)

This plugin can also work from the /mu-plugins/ folder by uploading marketpress.php and /marketpress-includes/ there directly.

If you just wanna disable the plugins menu for the customers then you can simply use a plugin like : http://wordpress.org/plugins/menus/

    Cheers, PC
