Does Events+ plugin allow users to submit events?

I want users to be able to submit, add or post events on my website. Does this plugin, Events+, allow users (specific site role) to do that?

Thanks,

Bradley

    Hi @Bradley

    Yes it does.

There is a Front-page editing addon that you can activate for that. Once activated, simply add the [eab_event_editor] shortcode to any page to display the event form.

Note that your users will need at least the Contributor role to submit content. The subscriber role does not, by default, have the required post capability.

If you want to give your subscribers that capability too, activate also the Capabilities addon.

    Hi @sarah

    Welcome to the forums!

First thing, did you activate the Front-page editing addon in order to create your own front-end submission form? That addon must be activated for the shortcode to actually produce the form.

Also, to add custom content to the calendar page, simply create a new page and add the [eab_calendar] shortcode somewhere on the page. You can then include anything else you might need on the page.

See under Events > Shortcodes in your admin for more on the available shortcodes and their parameters.
