Does Membership2 Still have subscription levels?

Does the new membership plugin still have subscription levels? I had quite a few pricing tables, etc, drawn up using URLs such as this:

http://aupairandtutors.co.za/register/?action=registeruser&subscription=6

But now these links don't seem to work correctly - members are registered but are not assigned a membership level. I tried using the membership ID as shown in the "Memberships" page of the plugin, but this didn't work either.

Your help would be appreciated.

    Hi @Ronel,

Hope you're doing well today

Memberships are now created by going to Membership 2 > Memberships panel, and all your created memberships should be visible on your registration page.

If you have switched from Membership 1 to Membership 2 could you confirm that you have followed all the steps from the Plugin Usage Page to make the switch?

If you could allow support access I would be happy to have a look at your current setup and do some testing so we can figure this one out?
To enable support access you can follow this guide here:

    HI Predrag,

What I mean is, I am using custom-created pricing tables for my membership - seen at this URL:

    http://aupairandtutors.co.za/families/

As you can see, every button on the pricing table has a unique URL which worked with the previous version of Membership. It relied on the subscription ID to take the user to a registration page and not having to ask the client *again* what membership they want.

This appears to have fallen away with the new plugin - so what URLs so I use here instead?

    Hi @Ronel,

Thanks for the additional info and clearing this up for me
In Membership 2 there are shortcodes that you can use to point your button to unique Membership, for example you can use this [ms-membership-buy id="5" label="Buy now!"]
List of all available shortcodes are located in Membership 2 > Help > Shortcodes tab in your admin section.

Also, can you still allocate a WP user role to the Membership level? This was present in the previous version but also can't see this setting for Membership 2

As mentioned in another thread, this is not currently possible but M2 comes with Member Capabilities add-on which will allow you to assign different capabilities to different memberships.

    Best regards,
    Predrag

    Hi Predrag,

Regarding the buttons: I don't want to use the shortcode because they create very ugly unthemed buttons. I preffered using the URL I mentioned above. What is the substitute in the new version of membership for the subscription id?

WP User roles - this plays a major part in my setup, as several other plugins used the WP User role for various things, such as when/when not to display content. When are you guys going to bring this functionality back? It was there initially...

    Hey Ronel,

You can try linking your buttons like this http://yourdomain.com/memberships/?membership_id=5
    Just change the membership ID.

You can also use shortcode and change the look of the buttons using CSS, if you want to do this I would be happy to assist you with this

I'm not sure that this will be something included in near future, you can check developer response regarding this in different thread here:
