Domain Mapping, homepage and admin pages work but other pages are not

I’m getting 404 error on all of my website [chat info] pages after doing domain mapping. Any ideas why might this be happening?

    Hey there member1,

    hope you're doing good today!

I've accessed this mapped domain and I can see that all pages (http://YOURDOMAIN.com.au/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=page) are being displayed correctly now.

I also noticed that you use plain permalinks though, so you may want to re-save these using the Post name option (more on using pretty permalinks)

Please do let me know, if I miss something else here, as now the reported issue seems resolved to me.

    Warm regards,

    Dimitris

    Thanks Dimitris.

This was a migration of a network site with domain mapped subsite built on Linux hosting over to Apache server run by my client’s host.

Yes, the pages work, but only because the permalinks were changed. I can’t access the Network Admin.

I’ve looked up permalinks for apache and have proposed a solution for the client’s host to change.

Can you think of anything else that needs adjusting or should this fix it?

    thanks

    Hello there member1,

hope you’re doing good today!

When you create or update a “pretty” permalink structure, WordPress will generate rewrite rules and attempt to insert them into the proper .htaccess file. If it can’t, it will say something like You should update your .htaccess now and print out the rules for you to copy and paste into the file (put them at the end).

    Reference: https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks#Using_.22Pretty.22_permalinks

So this should be enough for Apache, but doesn’t change the fact that /network/ isn’t reachable.

To better inspect your setup, could you please send us over some more credentials?
