Domain Mapping on Multisite Not Working

Hi there,

We've currently purchased and setup domain mapping for our multisite install http://esitedev.com/ and are experiencing some difficulties.

We are running the Dedicated Server from HostGator, which also has a few other websites using the same IP (not sure if this is the issue).

For example we're running "http://bakery.esitedev.com/" which runs perfectly using the * catch all for subdomains but once we point the a-record to our IP address from our domain register (enom.com) for "lks.esitedev.com" we get sent to a cgi-sys holding page even though no Cpanel account has been setup through our WHM account at HostGator.

Hopefully this is a simple fix, we'd love to get our clients domain setup as soon as possible. Thank you for your help!

It should be a simple fix.

Basically for that IP the DocumentRoot must be your WordPress site. So it's the folder where you have WP installed.

If that isn't something you can do then you will need to ask your host to make the DocumentRoot for your IP the same folder as your WP install.

Currently it seems to go to that holding page for you, which is why you see it whilst trying to map.

    Take care.
