Domain Mapping with nameservers and not A Record

If i am to change my hosting account, all my customers would have to change their A-records. Is there any alternative?

Unfortunately, they will all likely have to change their A records, as you assume. The alternatives would be either to have them simply direct their DNS to you (and then you manage it) or have them use CNAME records instead of A records.

    Hi there @nelnehal

I hope you are well today and thanks for your question.

@Zyniker is spot on, they'd need to change their A records or you could use CNAMEs instead, but if they do this they still can't have another DNS configuration for pointing to a different site.

Which means that either way is really the same, as they'd need to change one or the other

    Thank you!

    Kind Regards

I have a feeling Edublogs likely hasn't switched hosting providers in a long time (if ever). As for switching server hardware, that can be accomplished fairly easily without having to change your IP. I would imagine that is what Edublogs did as their hardware demands increased.
