Domain Name Change and Lingering Old Sitemap

Hey WPMU DEV -

I recently changed the domain name of my multisite install. I did the search and replace through the database, and all but Infinite SEO seems to be working fine now. It still wants to use my old domain in the sitemap. This is the only plugin that I'd had previously set up but that wasn't activated or even uploaded when I did the domain switch. I tried to deactivate, delete the sitemap and zip, and reactivate, but its back with the old domain again. Its also not coming up with any default for the sitemap path.

I'm guessing I need to clean something out of the database, but I'm not really sure where to start. Help appreciated! Muchas gracias

    Greetings bhusema,

Thank you for being a WPMU Dev member!

I have been testing this on our production server plus looked through the database and I cannot find any references for Infinite SEO that is relevant to the domain name.

However, would you be so kind as to post both the old domain name and the new domain name so that I may have a first hand look as to what is going on?

    Cheers, Joe

    Thanks Joe,

I can pull up the sitemaps in a browser now, but no sitemap.xml appears to exist in public_html, at least according to my file manager. Maybe I was wrong to assume that InfiniteSEO would generate a new one when reinstalled? Or maybe it has?

I've deleted and reinstalled a few times to no effect. Could it be that I need to wipe it out of the database? What tables do I get rid of?

    http://websplode.me - new mu domain
http://risingspirals.com - old mu domain, current mapped subsite domain

    Greetings bhusema,

Aha! Now we are getting somewhere. The reason why you do not see the file for the sitemap or rather the sitemap.xml file is because it is dynamically generated. So there actually is no sitemap.xml file to find.

I have gone ahead and checked both sitemaps for both sites and they are correct and using the correct domain within there file mapping.

I've deleted and reinstalled a few times to no effect. Could it be that I need to wipe it out of the database? What tables do I get rid of?

I do not think you need to do anything since they are both showing correctly for their respective domains.
    http://websplode.me/sitemap.xml
    http://risingspirals.com/sitemap.xml

I cannot find anything wrong with either of them and Infinite SEO is going to generate the sitemap.xml on the fly based upon the URL entered calling up the sitemap itself.

Maybe this clarification above has resolved what you may have thought to be an issue?

    Please advise.

    Cheers, Joe
