Edublogs Home Page Theme with BuddyPress

Hi

I have recently reactivated buddypress and have 2 issues.

1) Now, for drop down links in the header menu it always specifies HTTPS and then results in page not found/available.

When I manually change the url to normal (http) it is all good.

Is this a setting somewhere?

2) I already have an existing forum installed at
http://tradr.com/forums/

I then installed Buddypress with a fresh bbpress forum.

Now the 'forums' link is not available for the group forums as it points to my main forum.

How can we fix this issue? any ideas?

Cheers

Johnny

    Hiya Johnny,

    Have you done anything to provide for https? Perhaps though this:
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Administration_Over_SSL

    I'll ask Richie to comment further, but I can't think of why those links would be using https unless it's been set that way at some point. Do you have the same issue with the BuddyPress default theme?

    I'd test that out and see if you have the same issues. Then we can narrow it down to an install issue.

    thanks!

    hi johnny
    try open up navigation.php and go to line 63

    <?php
    if(function_exists('get_current_site')) {
    $current_site = get_current_site();
    if($_SERVER['HTTPS']){
    $current_siteurl = 'https://' . $current_site->domain . $current_site->path;
    } else {
    $current_siteurl = 'http://' . $current_site->domain . $current_site->path;
    }
    } else {
    $current_siteurl = site_url() . '/';
    }
    ?>

    edit this code to

    <?php
    if(function_exists('get_current_site')) {
    $current_site = get_current_site();
    $current_siteurl = 'http://' . $current_site->domain . $current_site->path;
    } else {
    $current_siteurl = site_url() . '/';
    }
    ?>

    cheers
