Emails being sent to group members upon event creation

Hi, I recently received a message from my community regarding the group calender plugin. I’ll copy one message.

“I like having the calendar for my Weekly AVI/Sig group. A few things though, the default colors of the calendar make it a bit hard to read and every time I add an event, it sends an email to every member. If at all possible, I’d like to see an option of whether or not an email is sent.”

I can of course deal with the styling myself however is there a way to stop this plugin sending email to group members? I am assuming it is using the group email plugin from you guys for this.
