Embed HTML in Sidebar Widget

I have an ad on http://{domain}/ads/september-stc-tech-comm-banner/16-NEU-113-4_336x280/16-NEU-113-4_336x280-VersionB.html

I am unable to diplay it within a widget. This is the HTML Code:

The contents of the HTML page are as follows:

!DOCTYPE html>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"/>
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=Edge"/>
<meta name="ad.size" content="width=336,height=280">
<script type="text/javascript">
var clickTag = "http://www.google.com"; </script>
<style type="text/css">
a {
text-decoration: none;
<!--Adobe Edge Runtime-->
<script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8" src="http://animate.adobe.com/runtime/6.0.0/edge.6.0.0.min.js"></script>
.edgeLoad-EDGE-007 { visibility:hidden; }

AdobeEdge.loadComposition('VersionB', 'EDGE-007’, {
scaleToFit: "none",
centerStage: "none",
minW: "0px",
maxW: "undefined",
width: "336px",
height: "280px"
}, {"dom":{}}, {"dom":{}});
<!--Adobe Edge Runtime End-->

<body style="margin:0;padding:0;">

<div id="Stage" class="EDGE-007”>

Thank you.

    Hello Kobla,

    I hope you are well today. Thank you for your question.

    Widgets are quite capable of displaying HTML, however, there's limitations. In your example code, you are trying to include an entire web page, complete with DOCTYPE, <head> and <body> elements. Also, there's Javascript in the head of the HTML. This won't work.

    The simplest solution would be to save your HTML file as an external file and include it using an iframe, like so:

    Save your file to your domain root folder, like so: http://domain.tld/myfile.html
    Then, in your widget, place the following code, adjusting for your domain name and the file name:

    <iframe src="http://domain.tld/myfile.html" frameborder="0" width="100%"></iframe>

    This will enable to you display the complete webpage, Javascripts and all in the sidebar widget.

    There are other methods as well, but they are a bit more complicated.

    Let me know if you have any further questions. I'll be happy to help! :slight_smile:

    Best regards,

    James Morris
