eNewsletter content not showing

I am unable to create any content for my newsletters, using the Content editor. When I type anything, it does not show up in the preview pane on the right. When I save the newsletter, and re-open the Content editor, all my text has gone.

I can successfully create new settings, background images, even send previews of my "blank" newsletter, etc, BUT none of what I do will allow me to add content to my newsletter!

I suspect some plugin conflicts, but I just don't know where to start. HELP!

    Hi there @john_maclulich

Welcome to the forums, glad to have you aboard!

Yes, it is likely a conflict with another plugin. Do you have any page-builder plugins installed, or included in your theme? These types of plugins can sometimes cause such issues in certain configurations.

At any rate, you should try basic troubleshooting protocol as illustrated on this page:

    Hey there.

    It is, yes.

I took a look at your download history and note you're using an older version of e-Newsletter. Can you please upgrade to the latest 2.7 release. Here is the change log:

    - Added compatibility with WordPress 3.9
    - Improved resizing of TinyMCE editor
    - Fixed compatibility with bbPress
    - Fixed welcome message for AJAX forms
    - Other small improvements

That should resolve your issue but if you still have problems then please let us know.

Take care and have a great day!

I'm experiencing this same behavior, and I too am using and older version of the Enewsletter plugin. It occured after I updated to the latest version of Wordpress.

After choosing to update the plugin to the latest version, the entire site tanked - and hard .... dashboard pages wouldn't open, and the template itself appeared to have changed drastically:

After restoring the site, and making a copy on a dev server, and disabling all the plugins except for e-newsletter and the gantry framework, the newsletter area still fails to load the editor and displays text in a white color:

I've also tried selectively activating CKeditor, TinyMCE, etc and no dice.

I also notice that while the 'email title' field is actively syncing between the content pane and the preview on the right, the 'email content' field does not

After re-activating the WPMU DEV Dashboard, I updated it from 3.4.4 to 3.4.9, checked the front end, checked the newsletter plugin, and then updated the enewsletter again.

Now again as with my first update attempt, the Enewsletter plugin is simply not working - loading it takes me to an unexpected URL ( wp-admin/themes.php?broken=true ) ....after which point and time the entirety of wordpress breaks - template stops working, and the dashboard becomes unreachable.

Here's a video of those last few steps in action:
