enewsletter won't accept any email credentials

No matter which email, or settings I use for the eNewsletter plugin using the smtp settings I receive this error:

Failed to send test email! - Please check your outgoing email settings and server config to see if selected ports are open. Error details: The following From address failed: bindthesoul@gmail.com : Called Mail() without being connected

    Hope you're doing well today and thanks for your question!

    Can you make sure that you have the fields setup like this:

    From email: your gmail
    SMTP outgoing server: smtp.gmail.com
    SMTP username: your gmail
    SMTP password: your gmail password
    SMTP port: 465
    Secure SMTP: SSL

    Then test connection and let us know if it is still giving you an error or not :slight_smile: if it is, then it's likely that your web host is blocking the 465 port and you will want to contact them to make sure it's accessible.
