Error message from Admin/Settings/Domains

I Had Domain Mapping previously setup with the generic WP wordpress-mu-domain-mapping plugin and it was working fine

Installed WPMU Domain Mapping plugin and Multi-domains plugin (haven't done anything with the Multi-domain functionality ... yet, but need to very soon)

The mapped domains still work fine for the visitor, They show up in the site list. I can get to and use the dashboards on them.

But anytime I try to go to

Network Admin
Domain Mapping
I get the following error:

Please edit your /home/dmerriam/public_html/wp-config.php and move the line define( 'SUNRISE', 'on' ); above the last require_once() in that file or make sure you updated sunrise.php.

Checked, double checked and triple checked. sunrise line is in the right place and uncommented, sunrise.php is in the right place

I've run out of ideas to try

Thanks in advance,
Diane Merriam

Hi Diane and welcome to WPMU DEV!

Not sure if you noticed, but there's actually a difference between the sunrise.php file in the Domain Mapping plugin and the one in the Multi-Domains plugin.

As you're using both plugins, you'll need to use the sunrise.php from the Multi-Domains plugin as mentioned in the installation page for Multi-Domains:

    4. Upload sunrise.php to the /wp-content folder on your site - If you are using the domain mapping plugin, rename dm_sunrise.php to sunrise.php and upload it to the /wp-content folder on your site

Could you please verify that you've done that?

I had made the change on the sunrise.

After completely uninstalling everything and going back to domain mapping only and then adding the multi-domain back in I no longer have the problem ... and I no longer have the two menu items (Domain Mapping and Domains). No idea why they were there, no idea why they're not now.

Don't you just love computers

To err is human. To really foul things up requires a computer.

Back to trying to get multi-domain working.

    Thanks guys,
    Diane Merriam
