Event+ Plugin Archive page not working

I setup this plugin and it works for individual events like this one http://crossroadsbooksandcoffee.com/events-list/2012/06/grand-opening-party/ and the widget listing works too, but the Archive page does not filter properly Events only. It shows it all: http://crossroadsbooksandcoffee.com/events-list/ . what am I doing it wrong?

    Greetings Marek,

    Welcome to WPMU Dev!

I do not know if you are doing anything wrong.

I did in fact visit both of the pages that you had input into your post above and I honestly do not what the problem is. I am not saying there is not one but do not have much to go on being that I do not know what is in fact supposed to be showing on your event-list page or perhaps rather which should not be showing.

    Please advise.

    Cheers, Joe

    Hi Joe,
the problem is that the archive page should only display the events but it displays all post types http://crossroadsbooksandcoffee.com/events-list/

There are only 3 event posts, so only 3 should be listed here http://crossroadsbooksandcoffee.com/events-list/ but all posts get listed.

Where do I see if the loop pulls the proper post types to be listed on this archive listing of events only?

  • jazyfko

Hi, Yes I did revert to Twenty Twelve for a moment, tested it and it gives me a custom 404 - "Nothing Found" at where the event archive list should be: http://crossroadsbooksandcoffee.com/events-list/

the Monthly archive worked on Twenty Twelve, but not on my prod theme: http://crossroadsbooksandcoffee.com/events-list/2012/06/

there may be something screwy on both ends? Possibly another plugin conflict?

    Greetings Marek,

Now that we have the eye of the developer and his suggestion that it is probably a conflict, it is time to go into full blown trouble shooting mode because it appears there may be some conflict here and one way to find out conclusively.

Standard plugin trouble shooting protocol - first to switch to the Twenty Eleven theme just long enough to check for the problem - if the problem still exists next involves deactivating all plugins except the plugin in question and then see if the issue still exists.

If it does not, then you want to activate plugins one at a time testing in between to see if the issue returns. Even when you find one plugin, it may be in your interest to deactivate the problem plugin and continue testing the rest of the plugins to insure no others are also conflicting. You will know the conflict when the issue returns and which plugin(s) you activated that cause the issue.

Please advise if there are any plugin conflicts and if so what the plugins are that are conflicting.

    Cheers, Joe

Thank you very much for the additional info. Let's try to fix the conflict in easy ways first. In your Events plugin settings, can you please check the "Override default appearance" checkbox in "Appearance Settings" section and select the templates you wish to use for events archive and single event. Also, can you please navigate to Settings > Permalinks and hit "Save" without making any changes? This will update your permalinks structure.

VeBailovity, thanks... I did what you suggested and we are getting closer:

    http://crossroadsbooksandcoffee.com/events-list/2012/06/ now works.

    but http://crossroadsbooksandcoffee.com/events-list/ still does not.
Besides the style being messed up of course.

Its like the archive URL http://crossroadsbooksandcoffee.com/events-list/ either shows ALL posts, nor NONE at all.

Maybe I should do the plugin one by one rule out?

    thx much
