Facebook comments not changing wordpress comment on my theme



This is the code for the comments area of the template

I also checked these

— If checked, Facebook comments will be used instead of, or in addition to, regular WordPress comments.

— By default, Facebook comments will appear in addition to WordPress comments.

Check this box if you wish to disable WordPress comments, but still allow Facebook Comments.

Note: if you enable this option, Facebook Comments will always appear, disregarding any WordPress settings.

    Hmm that’s strange, as the default hooks are obviously there in your theme….albeit in the wrong place.

    Let me ask the developer whether them being in the wrong place would affect that.

    In the meantime, could you change the before and after hook settings for the plugin to ‘comment_form_fields_before’ and ‘comment_form_fields_after’ please?

    Thank you for sharing the link and the code. The default hook the plugin uses to insert the Facebook comments box is there, as it should be automatically triggered by the comment_form() function. I checked your site, and here’s what’s the problem – the Facebook comments are actually rendered on your page, but within a hidden DIV: http://i54.tinypic.com/vdh75e.png Once I removed the “display:none” rule, the comments box showed up normally: http://i56.tinypic.com/30u93pz.png

    Anyway, now that we know what’s up, let’s try to figure out how to solve the problem. It appears that something unusual is happening in the theme, as the comments are listed twice and, apparently, so is the commenting box. Is there perhaps a reason for that?
