False Negative: site down?

Monitoring says this site, wptesting.org, is down, but it's not. What's wrong?

    Hi Kevin,

Hope you are doing good today.

Monitoring says this site, wptesting.org, is down, but it's not. What's wrong?

Could you please check whether you get the same result in your Hub, ie in the UPTIME tab of your website.
    https://premium.wpmudev.org/hub/my-websites/

If it's working fine in the Hub, you could try the RE-CHECK button in the plugin page to clear any temporary glitch, and see whether you are still getting the same result.

If you still have issue, please enable support access, so that we could give a closer look. You can grant access from WPMU DEV > Support > Support Access > Grant Access, or check this manual: http://premium.wpmudev.org/manuals/wpmu-dev-dashboard-enabling-staff-login/

Please let us know once you enable access, so that we could get this sorted. Have a nice day.

    Kind Regards,
    Nithin

The HUB shows "Web Site Down". When I click on the "EKG" icon it the page says:
    Your Web Site is Down
    Unavailable for 17d 8h 19m

After clicking Re-Check, I see this confusing display: (can't figure out how to paste in a screen shot). Sorry. I have enabled support access. BUT, before i could enable support access I had to deactivate the WPMUDEV plugin and reactivate it. I've had to do that on several occasions because the WPMU DEV menu disappears from the Network site menu. Deactivating and reactivating makes the menu item reappear. That's another issue you might want to look into. Why does this happen?
    Thanks for your help!

    Hey Kevin,

Hope you are doing good today.

Thank you for enabling support access, I checked your website, and it seems like the Uptime is working fine now.

This could be a temporary glitch, however I could notice last down time showing as Dec 3, I'll bring this in developers attention. Please do let us know whether you are able to replicate this issue, or if this happens again.

This is sounds odd. I tried to revoke, and extend the support access in your system, but I wasn't able to replicate this issue in your system. This sounds like a conflict, could you please run a quick plugin/theme conflict test as illustrated in getting support manual (flowchart), and rule out whether any plugin is causing this issue.

Please let us know how that goes, have a nice weekend.
