Fatal error: Cannot redeclare _wp_privacy_requests_screen_options()

I removed wordfence and used Defender instead, but now, on the main site, users cant update their profile anymore through the front-end, it gives the following error:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare _wp_privacy_requests_screen_options() (previously declared in /wp-admin/includes/user.php:975) in l/wp-admin/includes/user.php on line 97

    Hi Dutchman

    I hope you're well today and thank you for your question!

    I checked that and I could replicate the issue on my test setup. The interesting fact here is that I had the very same fatal error (with the same result) but pointing to yet another native WP function - though still user-related.

    I also did some additional tests and, surprisingly, I couldn't find any specific setting that would cause that. It seems like just an activation of Defender triggers that error.

    That said, I need to reach out to our developers for more help so I have already forwarded it to them and am waiting for their response. They'll examine the case and get back to us here with more information so please keep an eye on this ticket.

    I know this is an old topic, but I started to get this same error message:

    PHP Fatal error: Cannot redeclare _wp_privacy_requests_screen_options() (previously declared in /wp-admin/includes/user.php:1048) in /wp-admin/includes/user.php on line 1048, referer: /edit-profile/edit-company/282/?wp_http_referer=%2Fwp-admin%2Fusers.php%3Frole%3Dadministrator

    Is there anything I can do to stop this?

    Thank you.
