Fatal error when enabled plugin

Hi, i tried to isntall Snapshot in a client site and everytime when i enable that, i receive this error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 122880 bytes) in /home/storage/xxxx/xxxx/xx/xxxxxxx/public_html/portal/wp-admin/menu.php on line 81

(i replace url here for security purposes).

I just can see my Admin CP again if i rename snapshot folder in plugin directory, directly from FTP.

Any solutions?

Sorry for english, btw.

    It’s a memory issue, your PHP needs more memory basically.

    You could edit your php.ini file or add your own (depending on setup):

    memory_limit = 256M

    httaccess:

    php_value memory_limit 256M

    If your PHP supports then you can edit your wp-config.php file and add the following line:

    define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '96MB');

    You would change the memory in those to whatever it is you require.

    If you are not sure how or have further issues then it would be best to ask your host to help you out with this one.

    Take care.

    Hi Timothy, thanks for fast response!

    I changed in config file, set memory limit to 80M. It’s a good limit?

    I don’t know if my host allow me to raise this limit…

    Now it’s work, but i need to change host… (we don’t have more hosts to choose here in Brazil… :slight_frown: )

    It’s resolved by now. Thanks again!

    Hey again.

    It depends on the host, I think for example someone like godaddy is about 256MB.

    80MB is ok, but it depends on what you’re running, how mant plugins, is it multisite, how many themes on multisite, how many sites, etc, etc, basically the more code you run the more memory you need.

    And the more concurrent loads of your site the more memory.

    Take care.
