Feed bug with Slide-In Plugin

Dear support,

Since I installed the great Slide-In product, I have a bug on my RSS feed page :

"This page contains the following errors:
error on line 56 at column 24: xmlParseEntityRef: no name"

When I desactivate it, everything is fine.

Any idea how to use this great plugin without the bug ?

Thank you :slight_smile:

    hiya @exnet

    thanks for posting.

    could you test by briefly changing your theme to the default 2012 theme. let us know if the problem still persists? you don't need to leave it on the 2012 theme, we just need to see if thisw is possibly a theme conflict, then we can go from there as we'll know what we're dealing with.

    could you also post a url to your RSS feeds page, so we can take a look. try pressing ctrl+shift+J using either chrome or firefox browser & let us know if there's any errors.

    hope this helps

    thanks

    Oh - just read on another topic:
    From Vladislav:
    "The slide-in message shouldn't appear in your RSS feed, and while there are other ways around this, the proper fix should be attempted in the plugin code first. The latest plugin release (v1.1.3, just released) tries harder to avoid such cases. Can you please upgrade and see if it helps?"

    My RSS error shows:
    Below is a rendering of the page up to the first error.
    (then the start of the Slide In content - starting with 'close', which i guess is the close button for it).

    So I'm guessing this has something to do with it.

    Looking at the source code now - that definitely looks like the problem. The RSS feed starts like this:

    <div id="wdsi-slide_in" style="display:none;" class="wdsi-slide  wdsi-slide-left wdsi-slide-minimal wdsi-slide-minimal-light wdsi-slide-minimal-red" data-slidein-start="1%"  data-slidein-end="100%" data-slidein-after="0s" data-slidein-timeout="30s" data-slidein-id="1605" >

    	<div class="wdsi-slide-wrap" style="width:600px;" >
    		<div class="wdsi-slide-control">
    	<div class="wdsi-slide-share wdsi-clearfix">
    			</div>
    	<div class="wdsi-slide-close"><a href="#">Close</a></div>
    </div>		<div class="wdsi-slide-content">
    			<h1 class="wdsi-slide-title wdsi-slide-bold wdsi-slide-italic">Secure Your Free Subcription Today</h1>

    all that stuff above the XML version shouldn't be showing up.
