Floating social only on landing and archive pages

Hi there,

I have got some trouble with the Floating Social Plugin. Unfortunately it is not showing up on any other page than the landing page and archive page of our custom post type. I would also like to let it show up on our custom post type pages. Such as: http://www.whitecardasia.com/partner/outback-steakhouse/

and blog pages and archives. Such as:

and product pages:

I have not changed any settings in the "Do NOT show Floating Social for these types:".

What I already unsuccessfully tried:

- Turning off Chimpy (as it has javascript error)
- Turning off magnification of W3 Total Cache
- Turning off the complete W3 Total Cache Plugin

I hope someone of you guys have an idea. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thank you.

Best regards,

    Hi there @Jan,

Hope you're well today and thanks for your question.

When you disabled W3 Total Cache, did you remove the rules it adds to your .htaccess file?

Would it be possible at all to switch to the twenty fourteen theme to see if it works correctly in that? If it doesn't, we can then rule out a theme issue.

Do you have any custom code at all running on the site?

    Kind Regards

For now I have activated the "Chimpy" plugin again.

It is causing the following error:

"Uncaught ReferenceError: jQuery is not defined (index):9(anonymous function) (index):9"

Please let me know when you check the website and I will turn it off right away (even though I do not think that this is related to floating social, based on the fact that I tested it already with Chimpy deactivated).

I do not think, it will be possible to switch the theme. As it would have too much an effect on the user experience. Let me check it on another installation with the same theme and without W3 Total Cache (never installed there). I will get back to you in 20 minutes. Thank you!!

Ok, I tracked it down. It is theme related (works fine with TwentyFourteen). This is the first plugin causing problems with it. What would be the best way to find out which part of the theme is causing the issue?

    Thank you.

    Hi Jan,

Thank you for sending us the theme.

I have tested on my test site using the the 3clicks Child Theme that you have sent to us and found it's working fine on my test site with some minor position related issue.

Could you please share me the screenshot of your Floating Social settings or would you mind if I logged in to your site and did some testing? This might help get to the bottom of this faster. If this is ok, just grant me temporary admin access to your site by clicking "Grant Access" button in the WPMU DEV Dashboard Settings as described on the following page and reply on this thread after granting it?
