Floating Social update

I want Floating Social to appear on the home page. I see here:

this post:

In the latest release (v1.2.2, just released), the plugin comes with a "Show on front page" option, accessible in sitewide plugin settings ("Settings" > "Floating Social").

but the WPMU version is labeled 1.5.2 and does not have this feature.

I thought you keep the plug-ins fully up to date. I must be missing something...

Thanks for clarifying.

    Greetings jamesweissman,

It certainly does appear on the home page but it is also sensitive to the chosen theme.

You can see it here in action on my test production server:
    http://aecnuwpmu.us/

So you may indeed have to play with the setting relative to the home page to get it to display or depending on the theme may never get it to display correctly on the home page depending on the hooks made available by the author of the theme itself.

Please advise if you make any headway getting it to display with your theme and what theme you are using.

    Cheers, Joe

Thanks Joe. I see that the link is the the blog itself, not the current post on the home page. (That's logical, as it would be magical to update the floating links as the user scrolled through multiple posts.)

Since our page is dynamic I don't want anyone to 'like' "root" but a specific page. Therefore we went with a hybrid solution; an addthis clone on the home page, floating social on the individual posts.

    Thanks for the assistance.
