Footer won't display shortcodes

Hi, we're trying to use Ultimate Branding to replace several plugins on our Genesis multisite.
In the process of trying to replicate the footer across all sites, it seems that the footer fails to display any shortcodes, even when they are wrapped in PHP tags. It's just the typical footer shortcodes in any WordPress theme: [footer_copyright] and [footer_loginout]

I saw this issue remarked on for the header, and wonder a) if it's the same issue, and b) if there's a new fix out for it by now.

Additionally, I sometimes get the "footer failed to save" message, but don't get it every time.

Your assistance here appreciated.
Thank you!

    Hi Jim,

    Hope you're well?

    Yes, the same fix should work in footer too.

    /wp-content/plugins/ultimate-branding/ultimate-branding-files/modules/global-footer-content.php

    Find the following around line 93

    <?php echo stripslashes( $global_footer_content );?>

    Replace with:

    <?php echo do_shortcode( stripslashes( $global_footer_content ) ); ?>

    I'll add this to the feature requests.

    Hope this helps
