Forum groups - Sorry, there were no forum topics

Hi

I have access and subscriptions all set up and content is filtering fine. However - I'm having problems accessing posts within the forum.

As the administrator I have created a group. I have added the user to that group. I have granted access to that group using the Groups option in Buddypress under Access Levels.

When I click to visit the forum however it says that Sorry, there were no forum topics

I'm sure I'm just missing something obvious but if somebody can give me a steer that would be great

Thanks

M

    mgw,

Hi and Welcome to WPMUdev forums!

Your Forums are a top level for your topics. I.E. the Rainbow Forum may have topics on Red, Green, Yellow, Blue, etc.

You can create new topics by clicking the New Topic on the Forum tab of the Profile or on the Forum Directory page (see pic)

If I'm missing the boat on this please let me know!

    Best,

    Kimberly

    Hi

Kind of, here is my scenario.

    1. I've written a post in "Purple" group as the administrator.

    2. I've created a test user and allocated him into the Purple group

    3. When I login as the test user and go to Forums I can't see the most I created as administrator

    Thanks

    M

No difference. I deleted all posts and followed that exact process and when I logged in as the test user and click on Forums, I get this:

Sorry, there were no forum topics found.

So I can only assume I have a problem with permissions?

The test user is subscribed to the correct group, and the access level is checked in Groups as a positive.

Thank NAME, for their help.
