Forum User Creation

Hello all,

Bit of a n00b question (I think)
I've got wordpressmu 2.8.1 installed with the forums plugin running. I've got the forum up and running and it looks great, but how do I allow the random user that comes by the site and clicks on the forum tab the ability to post?

I assume they'd need to create a user name, but how can I put this on the forums page? I have wordpressmu installed with subdomains, so I'd like for the users for the forum to only be associated with this particular subdomain and not the entire wordpressmu site. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks in advance!

how do I allow the random user that comes by the site and clicks on the forum tab the ability to post?

Users will need to signup via the WPMU signup form.

I assume they'd need to create a user name, but how can I put this on the forums page?

There's not really a way to place the signup form on a different page without a custom plugin.

I have wordpressmu installed with subdomains, so I'd like for the users for the forum to only be associated with this particular subdomain and not the entire wordpressmu site.

If you're using our forums plugin then only users on the particular blog (subdomain) can post.

    Thanks,
    Andrew

Gotcha. I understand, thanks for your response!

My next question: Is there a way to set up seperate signups across subdomains? Right now if I type in "http://subdomain.example.com/wp-signup.php" it redirects to "http://example.com/wp-signup.php"

I'd like for my various subdomains to have their own signup pages the way they have their own login pages. Is this possible? Thanks once again.
