from WP to BuddyPress and back

When I move a WP website to BP, do I lose any data or content? Same question for the opposite direction, from BP to WP.

    Hi @qqldiego

There seems to be a bit of confusion about what BuddyPress actually is, so I’ll see if I can clear things up

BuddyPress is simply a plugin that adds community features and functionality to your WordPress install. It’s a beast of a plugin, but it’s still a plugin. That means BuddyPress requires WordPress to function. It cannot work without WordPress.

So, installing it on your WordPress site simply adds those features. If you disable BuddyPress afterwards, those features and functionality would simply not be available anymore.

BuddyPress does not modify your WordPress content (posts, categories, etc.) in any way. The only thing you would maybe want to do if you disable BuddyPress is remove the pages it creates when you install it (register, activate, etc.).

I hope this helps clear things up a bit
