FTP transfer issue with file directory

Hi, I’m trying to transfer my site using filezilla. I have uploaded the site (thechocolatepan) from my current host at media temple. I added the whole site file to the the “Site” folder within https://thechocolatepan.wpmudev.host/ using filezilla. However when logging into my my https://thechocolatepan.wpmudev.host/ WP admin console, I did not see the site I intended to import. Instead I saw the default setup proviced by y’all when I set up site in your hosting environment.

Should I have the master site file that I imported in a different folder than “site” I tried using Shipper multiple times as well as your built in FTP tool, but I kept getting errors, so I went the filezilla route.

    Hello Andrew

You have to upload the files in /site/public_html/ folder. Once the files are uploaded, you also need to migrate the database as well. Please follow the procedure:

    1. Upload the files in /site/public_html/ folder

    2. Export the database

    3. Open the exported file using any text editor like notepad

    4. Search for your current domain and replace with thechocolatepan.wpmudev.host. If your current domain doesn’t have SSL, then search for http://current_domain and replace with https://thechocolatepan.wpmudev.host/

    5. Import the database in wpmudev host, using the hosting interface

    6. Edit wp-config.php with correct DB information and re-upload. Or you can just reset wp-config from hosting interface

    7. Flush object cache

And now it should be okay, you should see the migrated site.

    Have a nice day!

    Cheers,

    Ash
