Fundraising and CustomPress Search Conflict

Hello,

I have a multisite network with CustomPress network activated. On one of the sub sites I have Fundraiser activated as well, and Fundraisers do not come up using the search field on the site. This sub site has bee active since December 2014, and Fundraisers came up in the search when I originally built the site, so I suspect the conflict was caused by a recent update.

In a sandbox copy of the network, I did try activating CustomPress on the sub site rather than network-wide, but that didn't solve the problem.

Is this a known issue?

Thanks for your help!

Warmly,

    Hey Ilana,

Thanks for the question, hope you're doing well today.

Is the search field just default WP search? If so, then it only searches the regular post titles - meaning it won't find any custom post types. Since you mentioned the search use to find Fundraisers then perhaps you have a custom search function to expand it's filter?

Personally, this is one of my favourite plugins to improve the WP search: https://wordpress.org/plugins/ultimate-wp-query-search-filter/

If you want to grant support access to your staging site then we can have a closer look  I do suspect that it's likely using the default WP search function though.

You can grant support access via WPMU DEV > Support > Support Access > Grant Access.

    Look forward to hearing back!

    Cheers,
    Tyler
