    Hello BlueGoat,

Greetings and thanks for writing on the forums.

I searched through the forums and found the below thread which you might want to have a look upon. Kim has given a pretty nice advice here

Till the time I search for more information for you, please go through the threads above and post any more questions you may have on the same issue. (You know reading other posts, sometimes gives you a lot of hints on how to move ahead  )

    Cheers

Yes I've read those topic threads but they were not helpful and don't directly answer my question because technically I didn't build the fundraising plugin so I don't know specifically what information I need to provide to put in app information form for Paypal review to approve APPID. I (and others) are simply just trying to start fundraising. So I'll ask again exactly what information (e.g. Testing Information) needs to go in the form?

    Hello @ Bluegoat,

Sorry to have kept you waiting while I was searching for a solution for you and thanks for standing by.

What specific information are we suppose to provide in the app information form on x.com to request Application ID?

You may provide the app information as below :

This is for an application called "Fund Raising". It allows me to Raise funds, collect donations or jumpstart any new project idea.

As a reference, I am attaching a PDF created by one our members Dave (ozbod). That has specifically been created for our MarketPress Plugin, but the process would be the same for Fundraising as well.

Before, you go live with the Fundraising, I would suggest you to create a sandbox account here : https://developer.paypal.com and select Sandbox in Fundraising to test the settings.

If everything goes fine then submit an application @ x.com

Should you have any more questions regarding the same, Please feel free to post and we would be more than just happy to help you.

Please find the below threads for reference

Ok I've read over ozbod PDF you shared but I have both Simple payments and Advance Payments checked in Fundraiser settings. On the Application ID form there's different choices under Simple Payments, Chained Payments and Adaptive Payments, what am I suppose to check for payment types and what do I put in Testing Step-by-Step Instructions box? I got my API credentials from My Profile in my Paypal account.

    Hello BlueGoat,

    Greetings !

In order to get all the questions answered and to avoid any confusions, I am gonna take it step by step so that I would be easier for us to achieve what is required.

I found that there is also a discussion going on the below thread regarding the same issue
    https://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/topic/cant-get-to-paypal#post-219853

First of all I would like to know what type of Fundraiser are you planning to setup ?

    Simple Payments
    Advanced Fundraiser
    Or Both ?

Also, have you already tested your setup in Sandbox mode ? I just want to make sure, that before we apply for a APP ID, we have the working setup in place.

Going further just to clear out the basics and understanding the Paypal terminologies, I am just gonna say a few things here :

Adaptive payments handles payments between a sender of a payment and one or more
receivers of the payment. You are an application owner, such as a merchant that owns a
website, the owner of a widget on a social networking site, the provider of a payment
application on mobile phones, and so on. Your application is the caller of Adaptive Payments
    API operations.

Simple payments enable a sender to send a single payment to a single receiver.
For example, your website can use an Adaptive Payments payment flow to transfer money
resulting from a sale from your customer’s PayPal account to your own account. This is the
    traditional kind of payment.
Parallel payments enable a sender to send a single payment to multiple receivers.
For example, your application might be a shopping cart that enables a buyer to pay for
items from several merchants with one payment. Your shopping cart allocates the payment
to merchants that actually provided the items. PayPal then deducts money from the
sender’s account and deposits it in the receivers’ accounts.
Chained payments enable a sender to send a single payment to a primary receiver. The
primary receiver keeps part of the payment and pays secondary receivers the remainder.
For example, your application could be an online travel agency that handles bookings for
airfare, hotel reservations, and car rentals. The sender sees only you as the primary
receiver. You allocate the payment for your commission and the actual cost of services
provided by other receivers. PayPal then deducts money from the sender’s account and
deposits it in both your account and the secondary receivers’ accounts.

    Full Manual Here

On the Application ID form there's different choices under Simple Payments, Chained Payments and Adaptive Payments, what am I suppose to check for payment types

The above description and Manual, will help you choose what type of payments you are planning to receive accordingly we will choose in the Application. But as I said before, we first have to setup fundraising and test it on Sandbox mode.

I would be here to help you set it up step by step

First to setup a Sandbox account for Paypal register here https://developer.paypal.com/

    Paypal Sandbox Manual is Here

Looking forward to hear from you
