Good Day, I'm building a directory style website

Good Day,

I'm building a directory style website http://www.wikidwell.com. We now need to extend the site with multi-vendor ecommerce functionality.

Currently listings can be submitted from the front end once a user logs in but there is no front end editing of the listing item which we also require.

I am looking for advice, ideas on the best solution for adding this functionality. The theme is currently running on the genesis framework.

    Sorry, to explain further, the directory site already exists and has custom post types, uses gravity forms for front end publishing but not front end editing and I am not sure which ecommerce system I can easily use to link the existing directory items so they become products for purchase.

    I am hoping to din't need to recreate the site from scratch or reload all the 100's of existing items

    @nomadone
    All the e-commerce systems for WordPress that I am aware of use their own custom post types.
    You could go with any of them, and then simply use a plugin like this one to "switch" your content from one post type to the one used by the e-commerce solution of your choice: http://wordpress.org/plugins/post-type-switcher/
    You'll then have to make modifications to your gravity forms and any custom code you might have that is specific to your custom post type but it should work...

    Cheers,
    Ari.
