Google Custom Search button themeing

Hi
I have found the two css files in the Custom Google Search plugin folder but there are no references to the actual search button in these
How do i alter the search button itself
Cheers

    The reason my answer was not helpful is because your question was vague.
    If you want us to help you, you first have to tell us EXACTLY what you want to do.
    Otherwise I can't be more specific than I already was.

    What do you want to do? How do you want to style the form? What do you want it to look like?

    Please advise,
    Ari.

    A list of what needs to go into the CSS to style the search box widget
    background color
    font
    text color
    What, what exactly do i need to put in the CSS

    Sorry if this is very basic to you, I am new to this and your answer was unhelpful to me

    For instance some of this themes it, and some doesnt, and this is standard button css

    .gsc-search-button {
    	font-size:16px;
    	font-family:Arial;
    	font-weight:normal;
    	-moz-border-radius:8px;
    	-webkit-border-radius:8px;
    	border-radius:8px;
    	border:1px solid #dcdcdc;
    	padding:9px 18px;
    	text-decoration:none;
    	background:-webkit-gradient( linear, left top, left bottom, color-stop(5%, #ededed), color-stop(100%, #dfdfdf) );
    	background:-moz-linear-gradient( center top, #ededed 5%, #dfdfdf 100% );
    	background:-ms-linear-gradient( top, #ededed 5%, #dfdfdf 100% );
    	filter:progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient(startColorstr='#ededed', endColorstr='#dfdfdf');
    	background-color:#ededed;
    	color:#777777;
    	display:inline-block;
    	text-shadow:1px 1px 0px #ffffff;
     	-webkit-box-shadow:inset 1px 1px 0px 0px #ffffff;
     	-moz-box-shadow:inset 1px 1px 0px 0px #ffffff;
     	box-shadow:inset 1px 1px 0px 0px #ffffff}.css_btn_class:hover {
    	background:-webkit-gradient( linear, left top, left bottom, color-stop(5%, #dfdfdf), color-stop(100%, #ededed) );
    	background:-moz-linear-gradient( center top, #dfdfdf 5%, #ededed 100% );
    	background:-ms-linear-gradient( top, #dfdfdf 5%, #ededed 100% );
    	filter:progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient(startColorstr='#dfdfdf', endColorstr='#ededed');
    	background-color:#dfdfdf;

    so what are the exact list of things that need to go in the custom css, i can't find any info on this, sorry again for being new to this or 'vague' as you put it, I am not an expert and can't just guess this stuff

    Please understand that there are other customers that I also have to reply to...
    So a delay of an hour I think is understandable. We can't always respond immediately to your posts... :slight_smile:

    Can you please explain what you want it to look like?
    If you can't describe it then an image or something would be useful...

    Cheers,
    Ari.

    Not entirely sure what it needs to look like is of any relevance
    Are you not willing to tell me what the css for this looks like ?
    Seems a very very strange answer
    Also seems very strange that you reply within seconds after i make a post that you haven't bothered to reply and then moan that i am expecting too much (Note the hype about support on your sales hype, everywhere on the site)
    give me the relevant CSS info and i will do it myself
    Thank you

    ... But... How am I supposed to give you the CSS you want if I don't know how to make it look? CSS is something that has to be done on a per-site basis and always according to specific requirements!
    I can't just send you something random!!!
    If you tell me that you want it 50px tall, with round corners, a blue gradient button that is bootstrap-like and a lime green font, that I can do!!
    CSS is a sum of both elements and rules. I can't send one without the other, it doesn't make sense!

    Also seems very strange that you reply within seconds after i make a post that you haven't bothered to reply and then moan that i am expecting too much (Note the hype about support on your sales hype, everywhere on the site)

    The fact that I respond fast enough doesn't mean that I don't pay attention, it just means that I'm a fast reader and a fast writer.

    give me the relevant CSS info and i will do it myself

    Sure, I 'll give you what you want.. I never said no to that!! But I just haven't understood et what it is that you want me to send!!!

    Cheers,
    Ari.

    I just need a list of elements i guess
    you know the things that i can adjust in the css to make it look how i want it to look
    sorry if i dont know the correct terms here
    i just want to know what i have to adjust
    you know like the code i posted above
    i dont want you to do the actual design for me
    just tell me what the elements or whatever are called in the css that i need to adjust

    Ok, this is almost random and you'll have to customize it to suit your site look and feel, but something like this should work:

    td.gsc-input input.gsc-input {
      padding: 5px;
      border: 1px solid #ccc;
      border-radius: 0px;
      font-size: 14px;
      color: #333;
    }

    td.gsc-search-button input.gsc-search-button {
      background: #08c;
      color: #fff;
      font-weight: normal;
      height: 30px;
      padding: 5px 10px;
      border: 1px solid #3ad;
    }

    td.gsc-search-button input.gsc-search-button:hover {
      background: #3ad;
      color: #fff;
      border: 1px solid #3af;
    }

    Cheers,
    Ari.
