# Google Maps, Responsive not working?

Hi,

Previously I have managed to get responsive maps working with the google maps plugin, but for some reason I just don't seem ti be able to get it working this time, its just a fixed size. I tried fiddling with css & removing and re-adding the map but I just can't get it to be responsive.

Any guidance?

Hello there @Locally, I hope you're well today!

Can you please post a link to a page on your website where this occurs so that we may take a closer look at that?
Also could you please grant us access to your backend so that we may see exactly what is happening?
To do so, from your dashboard go to WPMUDEV => Support => Support Access and click on the "Grant access" button.

Please note that you must have the WPMU DEV Dashboard plugin installed on your site to complete the above process.

Cheers,
Ari.

I have made it work by adding to the shortcode is_responsive="true", even though I have make response by default ticked ... hmmm

Hey there @Locally,

Hope you're well!

I think it is responsive as you can see here: http://prntscr.com/6at60q. Let me know if I am not correct.

Best Regards,
Calvin

Hi,

you are correct that it is responsive ONLY when the is_responsive="true" is set on the shortcode.

Even though I have set the option 'All my maps are responsive', so in theory I shouldn't need to add is_responsive="true" to the shortcode. If I remove is_responsive="true" from the shortcode, teh map is not responsive (despite the 'all maps' option )

Hello @Locally

I hope you are well today.

Yes, I can confirm the issue in my test site as well. I am letting the developer know about this.

Cheers
Ash

Hi Ash,

Is there any update on when this will be fixed?

Thanks

• Tyler Postle

Hey Allison, looks like our bug ticket on this was marked resolved; however, I just tested it and it's still not. Sorry about this. I'm re-opening the ticket and letting the developer know

Either myself or the developer will post back here once we have it all sorted out.

Cheers,
Tyler

Hi there,

We're getting ready to launch a new multisite installation and at this point I am thinking I need to start looking for an alternative plugin. Unless of course you have an update?

Thanks,

Allison

• Tyler Postle

Hey Allison, sorry for the delay on this. I can see this bug ticket is still in progress. I'm messaging a couple of our other developers as well to see if we can get a fix for this faster  when do you plan to launch?

Cheers,
Tyler

• Allison

Hi Tyler,

Basically asap. We've currently connecting SMTP and ironing out the last few things, so I hope to have it up and running by Monday.

We've had to deactivate the plugin as it's throwing up all the errors :disappointed:

Thanks,

Allison

Hi there,

I hope you are well today.

Can you please replace the file wpmu_dev_maps_plugin/inc/addons/responsive-maps.php with the attachment? Lets see if this work

Best regards,
Hoang

• Allison

Thanks! It work beautifully
