Despite spending about $300 to host a busy blog, I’ve had nothing but problems with the last two wordpress upgrades … slow loading pages, mySQL connection timeouts and so on. I have been losing contributing writers because of this.
Following WPMU’s advice in the multipress installation, I contacted pSEK’s hosting services — they are still setting up a dedicated server for me, but from what I’ve seen so far with them, they offer an excellent service and know what they are doing. These folks specialize in WordPress hosting, so I highly recommend that if you’re dissatisfied with your current host or not getting decent answers to questions about timeouts/hosting issues, check ’em out.
Because I’ll be moving a lot of sites to pSEK, I’ll be saving around $250 a month when it’s all said and done.
