Gzip is not working properly and The performance test didn't return any results

gzip is not working properly:
- Your server may not have the "deflate" module enabled (mod_deflate for Apache, ngx_http_gzip_module for NGINX)
- Another plugin may be interfering with the configuration

-------------------------------------------------
The performance test didn't return any results. This probably means you're on a local website (which we can't scan) or something went wrong trying to access WPMU DEV. Try again and if this error continues to appear please open a ticket with our support heroes

    Hello Javier,

It means most likely your server is not configured to support .gzip compression. There may be some other reasons but this is most likely. I'd suggest contacting your host first and asking them to confirm whether the "mod_deflate" (if it's Apache) or "ngx_https_gzipm_module" (if it's NGINX) is enabled and configured on your server.

If it's not, please ask them if they could enable it for you. Hopefully they will and this should solve the issue. In case they confirmed that it's already enabled, would you mind allowing Support Access so we can have a closer look at this?

To enable support access you can follow this guide here:
    https://premium.wpmudev.org/manuals/wpmu-dev-dashboard-enabling-staff-login/

The performance test didn't return any results. This probably means you're on a local website (which we can't scan) or something went wrong trying to access WPMU DEV.

Please make sure your hosting provider does not block outbound TCP connections.

    kind regards,
    Kasia

    Hi Javier Socarras,

Hope you are doing good today.

They told me that they do not support .gzip compression.
What Can I do now? The website is running super super slow and I need to fix it asap.
I open the support access and the performance test is still not working.

For Gzip compression to work mode_default should be enabled, looks like you are using Godaddy, it seems they have it enabled by default, maybe I'm wrong regarding your plan. Would recommend you to reconfirm regarding this.

I checked your website, and Gzip compression looks like enabled. I clicked the run new test button, and performance test seems to work. Have you figured this out? Please advise if I'm missing anything. If you are looking to increase your website performance, you could try the Smush Pro plugin, to optimize your images, and hence leverage your website performance. You could test your website along with Pagespeed & Pingdom to rule out the factors causing the website to slow down.

Please let us know if you still need any further assistance, have a nice day.

    Kind Regards,
    Nithin
