Help fixing 500 errors

My client has reported a 500 error on http://203.**.**.16/~*****tree/. I turned on error reporting on the server. Can not access admin. I have tried deleting .htaccess. Tried renaming the plugins folder and tried renaming themes folder, all no result.

    Hello there Adam,

    hope you're doing good today! :slight_smile:

    I just went ahead and noticed that while having WP_DEBUG to log into a file didn't do anything, having error messages on screen, by using the following snippet in wp-config.php file

    // Enable WP_DEBUG mode
    define('WP_DEBUG', true);
    // Enable Debug logging to the /wp-content/debug.log file
    define('WP_DEBUG_LOG', true);
    // Disable display of errors and warnings
    define('WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', true);
    @ini_set('display_errors', 1);

    revealed this error message on screen:
    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected end of file in /home/csmechwisdomtree/public_html/wp-includes/load.php on line 1127
    which means that something were wrong with the actual WP files (probably a recent update or migration caused that).
    I've already re-uploaded the whole /wp-includes/ folder into your server via FTP and website is accessible again. :slight_smile:

    Warm regards,
    Dimitris
