help question about transparancy background

Hello,

I need to build this site: http://wp1.bewustzijninwording.nl/ in upfront.
The homepage needs an other background (the peacock), and the green boxes should be white transparance. So how do I get a white textbox with background color opacity of 70 %. And I want also a button in it and the second e-book part with an image and button.
Can you please say how I do that. I'm building the new site in upfront on this domain: http://maaike.cherallontwikkeling.nl/

    Hello,

    Thanks for your reply.

    I made a screenshot. I need the 2 blocks next to eachother. I want a space above and underneath the blocks and the tekxtblocks need to have a white background with transparacy /
    background color white opacity of 70 %.
    Then there must be also a button in the textblock. See screenshot 2 from the old site. with different colors and bg image.

    Normaly you make columns with the background and there you put the text and button and maybe a imagei n.

    I tried to copy the html but then I don't get what i need.

    I hope you can help me.

    Best regards,
    Geraldine

    I made a test page , it looks already a little bit on what I need.. but still isn't right. http://maaike.cherallontwikkeling.nl/test/

    Still needs the background of the blocks with bg color white oppacity 70%, and the last text block I want full width. The grid element of the page, can I resize that, so the blocks can be bigger/wider? And the text underneath the e-book can I get that in headers?
    Is it possible to place empty spaces or so beneath the sections so you have more space between the blocks?
    Hope you can help me

    Hi Geraldine ,

    Hope you're doing well today!

    If the color is a "Theme Color" (defined in left panel -> "Theme Settings", "Colors" tab) we can't change the opacity using the color picker. This is the way the system is designed, so, our developers are aware and working to improve the system.

    However, you can change it using CSS. You will need to create a new preset and add this code in the Custom CSS editor:

    .plain-text-container {
        background-color: rgba(255,255,255,0.7);
    }

    I think this video may help you:

    and the last text block I want full width. The grid element of the page, can I resize that,
    so the blocks can be bigger/wider?

    Upfront will always respects the grid (1024px), so, the only way is using Custom CSS to achieve it, but it's not recommended and can cause some issues. We will need to create a new region to that specific element in order to force the full width.

    Is it possible to place empty spaces or so beneath the sections so you have more space between the blocks?

    You can try increase the height of the element or adding some padding. I think this video may help you:

    I hope this information has been helpful. If I can help you in this or other questions, please let me know!

    Cheers, Luís
