Just had this one thrown at me by a client. Have to admit that MySQL isn't a strong point so I'm passing the buck.
She made the suggestion that blogs within the VIP table for the multi-db code get assigned a higher priority over regular clients.
Have to admit that with our db setup, the vip tables are on the same server as the regular databases. Me buying yet another box isn't going to happen any time soon but I know others are using the VIPs class as intended.
Don't know if this is doable or even should be a matter of consideration. Just wanted to throw it out there.
