how can i manage that uploading a photo will not clear the dashboard

how can i manage that uploading a photo will not clear the dashboard, but rather add the photo to the existing text?
also - is there an option - that uploading a photo - will add the photo itself to the text box, instead of putting the link to the photo?

    Before I address your question, please let me note that we do not allow posting any login information here on forum. This is a public forum and is being well indexed by Google, so posting sensitive data here is a serious security threat for your website.

    That said, I didn't edit your post because I believe that the "demo" user is there on purpose and you do understand the risk of publicly displaying the username and password.

    As for the image upload. I've logged in to your site and uploaded image and it didn't clear the dashboard. Instead, the image was added to already existing images (please see the screenshot).

    Adding an image to the text field isn't an option here as this field is a HTML form "textarea" input (http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_textarea.asp) but hopefully this won't be much of a problem if it turn out that upload's working fine.

    That said, could you please try to clear your browser's cache and give it one more try? Let me know if it helped or if I'm missing something here, please!

    Could you told me more, or even give a screenshot, where you want to displayed the image ? Btw, I tried to upload image on your dashboard but it need to be reviewed. It's only administrator that can have status publish immediately.

    Textbox can't contain any image, because we don't use rich text editor there, only HTML textarea :slight_smile:

    thanks for the reply!
    i would like that users will be able to upload 2 images in the same post.
    try to upload 1 image - it adds the image url to the text box as per your screenshot.
    then try to upload another image - you will see that it deletes the url of the 1st image..

    Our Status plugin unfortunately doesn't allow you to post multiple images at once (inside single status), so this may not be possible without some custom development. To allow multiple images at once you may want to turn your attention to BuddyPress enhanced with our Activity Plus plugin

    Other option would be a WordPress Private Messaging plugin:

    This one is for private messaging between users though, so I'm thinking a BuddyPress + Activity Plus would be a best choice here.

    How can I customize the code to support this?
    Unfortunately, the BuddyPress enhanced with your Activity Plus plugin probably will not help me because I need to have the user submitted content as guest posts, rather than as activity in their feeds.

Our developers are now dealing with a lot of complex issues not only related to bug fixes but also to new releases so their responses are usually a bit slower than our here on support forum.     Adam, the issue for me is not whether the dev will get to it today or tomorrow, but rather if this thing is fixable and when can expect to have it fixed? will you do it for me or would it cost me anything?

    I am trying to decide whether to use your plugin or go with another solution.
    Could you please provide more details to help me take this decision?

    I'm working alongside Adam and Anang here, I just spoke with Jack about this so we don't hold you up any longer. He says this isn't really something that would be very easy to do. He's managing several projects at the moment so doesn't have time right now to look into further customizations for Status. We don't normally do this for bigger customizations, but I could ask one of our SLS staff(coding experts) to look at this and see if there is anything they can do. Keep in mind, they deal with more advanced issues so can sometimes take up to a couple business days to get to your ticket.

    If you want a solution right now then you would need to have a look into hiring a developer to customize the plugin for you, we do have a jobs board where you can find a developer within the community: https://premium.wpmudev.org/wordpress-development/

    Sorry for such a long wait on this Or! With all that said, If you need to make a decision right now, then I would say this isn't a customization we can provide.

    In order to be a pro on the jobs board or to post a job, you need to be a member - so they will have access to the plugins. You are free to modify our plugins however you see fit :slight_smile: so yes, you can download the plugin directly and modify the files if you like, you can download it directly from the project page: https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/quick-status/

    You will see a "Download Plugin 1.8.2" text link beside the install button.
