    Hi @grant_kessler,

    Thanks for the question.

Yes the [chat ] shortcode is used to display In-Page / In-Post Chat.

When you create or edit any post type that you have selected, you will see a chat icon in the tray of the visual editor. Click the icon, and a nice modal pops up with all the customization options to make every chat unique. After customization just click on insert button to insert chat shortcode in post / page content.

In addition to the excellent information from Vinod go to Chat -> Settings Page then to the WYSIWYG Button tab. Here you will see a listing of your registered post types. Check the post types where you want to see the toolbar button. By default the WP Post and Page post types should be checked already.

Below that you will see the user roles. You may want only allow the admin role to see or use the toolbar button. See attached for the button image. And as Vinod covered this is on the Visual tab of the editor.

    Hi @grant_kessler,

    Thanks for your reply.

Just make sure the chat plugin is activated, check it in Visual mode and not in Text Mode.

Also confirm proper "WYSIWYG Chat button Post Types" and "WYSIWYG Chat button User Roles" are selected from the path Admin -> Chat -> Settings Page -> WYSIWYG Button as displayed in attached screenshot.

Are you checking it in post or page or in custom post type? What is your role?

    Best Regards,
